Hear Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts and More Put Voices to Nature
Films for Conservation International Debut at SXSW Eco This Week
Oct 06, 2014
Celebrities including Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Robert Redford and Kevin Spacey narrate a series of nature-themed films for environmental organization Conservation International, launching at SXSW Eco in Austin, Texas this week. In the films, the actors speak as the voices of nature itself, expressing misgivings about how human beings are treating the earth. In the version above, Ford -- who also serves as vice chairman of Conservation International and is credited as copywriter on the campaign -- is the voice of the ocean, reminding us that "Every living thing on this planet needs me."
The films were made by TBWA/Media Arts Lab with the creative spearheaded by chairman Lee Clow. The campaign will invite viewers to join the discussion by using the hashtag #NatureIsSpeaking. HP has pledged to give $1 to Conservation International, up to $1 million, for every use of #NatureIsSpeaking on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Vine, LinkedIn, YouTube and Tumblr.
