Derek Zoolander Hits the Cover of Vogue - for Real
The Character, Not the Cover, Gets a Prime Spot in Fashion Bible

Editor's Pick
Back in March of last year, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour showed she was a good sport in the world of "Zoolander 2" promotions when she shot a backstage video with Derek Zoolander when he and Hansel (played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson) hit the real runway at Paris Fashion Week during Valentino's show.
Now, she goes one step further and puts Zoolander on Vogue's February issue -- for real. In a photo shot by Annie Leibovitz, Stiller, sporting Blue Steel, appears alongside his co-star actress Penelope Cruz, who looks more like herself but plays the character of Valentina in the upcoming film.
The cover teases a feature in the magazine with more gorgeous, funny photographs depicting Stiller and Cruz as their fictional selves recreating iconic fashion scenes. The online version on Vogue.com also includes a video from Conde Nast's The Scene asking Zoolander 73 questions (for which he only has nine answers).
