Pete Davidson gets a festive shock in holiday ad for Manscaped

Pete Davidson has been ubiquitous in advertising this year, with spots for Taco Bell, H&M and Call of Duty among others. But one of his funniest turns has been as the new face of Manscaped, the men's grooming brand. The partnership was announced in July, and now the SNL star is bringing us a holiday offering for the brand with a dose of naughty festive humor. The spot features Davidson and his real-life mom, Amy, opening gifts in their living room on Christmas morning. The comedian is thrilled to receive Manscape's Performance Package 4.0, but then is puzzled to find the Lawn Mower 4.0 trimmer missing. Who could have taken it? The clues are in the room, and Davidson's horrified reaction alone makes this ad worth the watch. The spot was created in-house and directed by Ryan Ebner via ArtClass; it's running on national TV, social media accounts, YouTube and streaming. "This spot speaks volumes about the true nature of the partnership between Pete Davidson and Manscaped. In a funny but authentic way, it shows how we ended up coming together,” said Manscaped CMO Marcelo Kertész in a statement.. “Not many people know, but in real life it was Pete’s mom, Amy, that introduced him to the brand, giving him a Lawn Mower as a holiday gift. We just had to add the Santa cameo to it — a comedic spin on art, once again, imitating life.”
