All You Ever Wanted to Know About the Google Pixel 2 Is in This Fun, Zippy Film
Salt Bae, Young MA and David LaChapell Are Among Questioners in Droga5's Spot
Editor's Pick
Google's new commercial for the Pixel 2 smartphone is a fast-paced, fun two-minute film in which users ask all the things you ever wanted to know about the phone, but were afraid to ask.
Created by Droga5 and directed by Ian Pons Jewell via Reset, the ad whisks you through a quick-fire series of questions about the phone posed by a wide variety of characters, including celebrities: "influencers" such as Salt Bae, rapper Young MA, David LaChapelle, Dua Lipa, animators Stoopid Buddies and, randomly, British weatherman Michael Fish, who famously failed to predict a hurricane in the '80s.
Each question leads swiftly on to the next in zippy, back-and-forth style, and the narrative blends the questions of the users with voiceover and the voice of the Google Assistant. You'll likely need a lie-down after all the info overload.
