A new campaign for Hum by Verizon, the telecom company's car diagnostic and tracking system, gives ordinary (and sometimes dull) customer reviews an entertaining twist by getting actors to read them out and give them the full dramatic treatment.

Created by agency Rokkan, a series of online videos sees somewhat incongruously-cast thespians ("I'm a 66-year-old woman," says one moustachioed guy) act out everyday tales of roadside breakdowns, flat car batteries and more all to illustrate the tagline "Hum takes the drama out of driving."Aleysa Young at Community Films directs, and her actors do a great job at making lines like "I called the mechanics' hotline and got answers," sound like something from a Shakespeare play. Though not as daring as an Emerald Nuts campaign via Barton F. Graf that turned a customer's two-word review into an entire campaign, It's funny stuff.
