Head & Shoulders' Scalp Art Might Be the Weirdest Dandruff Shampoo Promo Ever
Rob the Original Shaves Celebrity Portraits Onto Healthy Heads

Eschewing from the familiar white flakes on shoulder image that has come to be a staple of dandruff shampoo advertising, Head & Shoulders turns to a unique kind of art to deliver the message that its product promotes a healthy scalp.
The brand and its agency Saatchi & Saatchi London teamed with barber/artist Rob the Original to recreate famous celebrity faces -- those of Head and Shoulders ambassadors Sofia Vergara, Odell Beckham Jr. and L.A. Galaxy player Giovanni Dos Santos -- on the backs of people's heads.
Online films show Rob the Original making his creations, which also appear in print ads shot by London-based photographer Oleg Tolstoy, a descendant of the famous Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy who has made a name for himself as a celebrity photographer.
"Everyone knows Head & Shoulders removes dandruff," said Oggie Kapetanovic, Head & Shoulders brand director for the Americas in a statement. "But beyond removing dandruff, Head & Shoulders also fosters a healthy scalp. An artist needs a clean canvas to create, and a healthy scalp is the perfect canvas for Rob's art."
