Geico has jumped on the World Cup bandwagon with a soccer-themed spot, and this one, done with its usual deft comedic touch, shoots and scores. In the ad, by The Martin Agency, a player celebrates a winning goal like all good strikers, sliding along the grass on his knees afterwards. Except he keeps going, and going, for the entire duration of the ad, slithering all over the pitch. Wayne McClammy at Hungry Man directed with his usual comic flourish. The message? As long as soccer players do slides, Geico will keep saving you money.
