Thank You, Creativity: Cannes Lions Honors the Beauty and Pain of the Creative Process in Promotional Campaign

This year's promotional campaign for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is themed around a "thank you" to the gift of creativity. The festival has created a film, seen here, featuring a montage of clips showing creative influences, as a (somewhat earnest) voiceover reflects on the spark that sets creative people apart, even in early childhood, and the people, and moments, that help you to harness it. A print campaign for industry media features black and white photography of real-life creatives with quotes expressing what creativity means to them.
As part of the campaign, which was created in-house, Cannes Lions has launched a permanent online hub at thankyoucreativity.com as its own "thank you" to creativity: it features inspirational seminars, case studies, a podcast series revisiting classic campaigns, and a series of "creative exercises" contributed by the industry.
