Ann Mukherjee, PepsiCo's president for global snacks and insights, is leaving the company to become the first-ever global chief marketing officer for SC Johnson, Ad Age has learned. Simon Lowden, CMO for Pepsi Beverages North America, will replace Ms. Mukherjee at Pepsi.

With Mr. Lowden promoted, Seth Kaufman, who is senior VP for the Pepsi and flavors portfolio in North America, will take on the new title of CMO for Pepsi Beverages North America.

SC Johnson confirmed Ms. Mukherjee's appointment to Ad Age and said she'll be starting "sometime this fall" but couldn't confirm an exact day. A PepsiCo spokeswoman confirmed the PepsiCo changes.

Ms. Mukherjee was a fast-rising star within PepsiCo's executive ranks. Her latest role, formally called president of the Global Snacks Group and PepsiCo Global Insights, gave her responsibilty for "driving accelerated growth across the global snacks category, as well transforming the PepsiCo insights capability to drive demand-driven foresights and predictive analytics to drive marketing and commercial decisions," according to her bio.

She joined the company in 2005 in the Frito Lay division where she oversaw marketing, new product innovation, consumer insights and strategy. Before PepsiCo, she worked in brand management and marketing at Kraft and Citibank.

SCJ's Chief Operating Officer Salman Amin also joined the company in 2013 from PepsiCo, where he was global chief marketing officer.
