The agency will now also offer a social content and community division, which will house the agency’s proprietary research tool, Reveal, and a newsletter called Internet Brunch.
VaynerMedia hires executive creative director
VaynerMedia appointed Isaac Silverglate as its newest executive creative director. He will be responsible for the creative direction of PepsiCo brands including Pepsi, Starry, Cheetos, Naked and Mug Root Beer.
Silverglate previously served as a deputy chief creative officer at Interpublic Group of Cos. McCann, where he focused on the agency’s Verizon account. Verizon’s creative account moved to WPP’s Ogilvy last year.
During his time at McCann, Silverglate worked on the “Goodbye Cable” Super Bowl ad for Verizon which saw Jim Carrey reprise his iconic role from the movie “The Cable Guy.”
PMG reunites with J. Crew
J. Crew Group appointed PMG as its media agency of record following a pitch. The independent shop will be responsible for media across all brands, including J.Crew, Madewell and J.Crew Factory.
While Madewell has been an ongoing client for PMG, the media AOR appointment marks the return of J.Crew and J.Crew Factory to PMG’s client roster. The accounts were most recently held by Kepler Group, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed. Kepler Group is part of the Kyu Collective.
FutureBrand hires global chief growth officer
IPG’s business transformation company FutureBrand has appointed another McCann executive as its first global chief growth officer. Lauren Maynard previously was the global managing director of advisory services at McCann Worldgroup. Before that, she was a management consultant at Bain & Co. with a focus on marketing strategy and operating model design.
Some of FutureBrand’s clients include American Airlines, Sanofi, McDonald’s, NatWest and Barilla.
