Law practice management software company PracticePanther teamed up with Grey Midwest to create a spot starring Rick Hoffman, the actor who portrayed fictional lawyer Louis Litt on the show. The spot, titled “Lawyers Should Be Lawyering,” shows multiple versions of Hoffman running a small law firm called Hoffman, Hoffman, Hoffman & Hoffman. The point of the ad is to show how PracticePanther can help smaller law firms. The team behind the spot also made a fake Linkedin profile for the Hoffman, Hoffman, Hoffman & Hoffman law firm. Big Spaceship rebrands to SPCSHP Independent digital and creative agency Big Spaceship is relaunching under the name SPCSHP (pronounced “Spaceship”). “As we embark on our next phase, our goal is for SPCSHP to create a community that allows our clients to reap the benefits of the incredible network of people we’ve had the privilege of connecting with over the last 24 years,” Founder and Executive Chairman Michael Lebowitz said in a statement. “We’re opening it up to bring expertise and divergent perspectives to one place.” The agency will now also offer a social content and community division, which will house the agency’s proprietary research tool, Reveal, and a newsletter called Internet Brunch. VaynerMedia hires executive creative director VaynerMedia appointed Isaac Silverglate as its newest executive creative director. He will be responsible for the creative direction of PepsiCo brands including Pepsi, Starry, Cheetos, Naked and Mug Root Beer. Silverglate previously served as a deputy chief creative officer at Interpublic Group of Cos. McCann, where he focused on the agency’s Verizon account. Verizon’s creative account moved to WPP’s Ogilvy last year. During his time at McCann, Silverglate worked on the “Goodbye Cable” Super Bowl ad for Verizon which saw Jim Carrey reprise his iconic role from the movie “The Cable Guy.” PMG reunites with J. Crew J. Crew Group appointed PMG as its media agency of record following a pitch. The independent shop will be responsible for media across all brands, including J.Crew, Madewell and J.Crew Factory. While Madewell has been an ongoing client for PMG, the media AOR appointment marks the return of J.Crew and J.Crew Factory to PMG’s client roster. The accounts were most recently held by Kepler Group, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed. Kepler Group is part of the Kyu Collective. FutureBrand hires global chief growth officer IPG’s business transformation company FutureBrand has appointed another McCann executive as its first global chief growth officer. Lauren Maynard previously was the global managing director of advisory services at McCann Worldgroup. Before that, she was a management consultant at Bain & Co. with a focus on marketing strategy and operating model design. Some of FutureBrand’s clients include American Airlines, Sanofi, McDonald’s, NatWest and Barilla. Bandits & Friends secures new account Hydration drink brand Roar Organic has appointed Bandits & Friends as its first lead creative agency following a competitive review. The goal moving forward is to elevate its current “Drink Out Loud” platform and redefine the functional water space, according to a statement by the agency. “We’re not here to replicate what others have done; we’re here to disrupt and create a narrative that stands out in an otherwise cluttered market,” Sofia Hexsel, director of marketing at Roar Organic, said in a statement. The scope of the assignment will include brand strategy, a brand campaign, social and partnership strategy with work expected to hit the market this summer. The startup brand was founded in 2013 and last year raised $6 million. Also last year, the drink brand became the official hydration partner of the Professional Pickleball Association Tour for the 2023 season. Just briefly Entertainment marketing and production company the Trailer Park Group appointed David Messinger as its chairman and interim CEO. Messenger succeeds Rick Eiserman, who is departing the company. Messinger was Activision Blizzard’s first global chief marketing officer, a role he held until 2021. Kepler Group appointed Jeremy Woodlee as the new CEO of Napkyn, a digital analytics and engineering consultancy acquired by the group in 2021. Woodlee replaces Nish Patel, who along with the company’s other original founders, left the company to pursue other ventures, a spokeswoman for Kepler confirmed. Earlier in his career, Woodlee served as a managing director at Accenture and held lead roles at Google, WebMD and ad tech company The Rubicon Project, which now goes by the name Magnite.
