It's been 12 years since Betty White starred in that unforgettable Snickers Super Bowl spot, yet the commercial feels just as fresh as when it premiered in 2010, thanks to the performance of White, who died Dec. 31 at age 99.

In the commercial, America's sweetheart plays rough-and-tumble football with a bunch of men and is pummeled to the ground to illustrate the brand's "You're not you when you're hungry" theme. It has since become a classic seen in 80 countries.
The White spot inaugurated a campaign that turned Snickers into the No. 1 candy bar, vaulting it from seventh place, according to the BBDO New York, the agency for the Mars Wrigley brand. And in 2020, the commercial topped USA Today’s Ad Meter as the best Super Bowl campaign of the last 25 years.
