Amazon has named Sue Kroll as its head marketer for its original programming, the company announced today.
The spot had remained vacant since June, when former CMO Ukonwa Ojo left the company. Amazon said its entertainment arm experienced a “transition period to evaluate our organizational needs" following Ojo's departure.
Kroll, who spent 24 years at Warner Bros. Entertainment, is now the head of marketing for Amazon Studios, overseeing global marketing for all original programming both for the Prime Video streaming service and theatrical distribution. Kroll will report directly to Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke.
