Ad Age Editor-in-Chief Dan Peres has been elevated to associate publisher of the brand, effective immediately. Peres will report to Ad Age Publisher K.C. Crain, who is also president and CEO of Crain Communications.
In his new position, Peres will expand his oversight from editorial operations to encompass sales, marketing, events and more for the Ad Age brand.
“Dan has shown great leadership,” said Crain. “He’s worked seamlessly with his fellow leaders across Ad Age to ensure the brand continues to be driven by its dedication to high-quality journalism. That focus has translated into significant growth that we’re excited to build on next year.”
“I’m honored by the opportunity to grow and build this prestigious brand, working not just with its distinguished journalists but the incredible team of professionals that contribute to our success every day,” said Peres. “Ad Age has always represented the gold standard, and I look forward to collaborating with the entire staff to move that forward. The publication has such a rich history, and I can’t be more excited to help shape its future.”
Peres, who joined Ad Age in July 2020, began his career as an editor at W magazine and Women’s Wear Daily. Peres was editor in chief of Details magazine for 15 years and has run his own strategic consulting practice focused on delivering brand, marketing, content and social media strategies for emerging and established brands.
