"Information Week" magazine goes Brazilian
SAO PAULO--Information Week, the U.S. magazine owned by CMP Media Inc., has launched its fourteenth version in Brazil, published by IT Midia Editora, Sao Paulo.
"Brazil needed a non-technical magazine to speak directly to executives. That's why we decided to launch Information Week Brazil, covering the integration between business and technology", says Murilo Martino, editorial executive direc-tor.
The first two editions will be monthly, but from then on the magazine will be published every two weeks. In order to tailor the product accurately, a questionnaire will be distributed to readers with the first two issues. Those issues are expected to each have a circulation of 31,000, which is expected to stabilize for future issues at 25,000.
The magazine will contain just 25% of the material included in the U.S. edition; the rest will be local content. IT Midia already publishes in Brazil the Network Computing Brasil newspaper and monthly magazine Computer Reseller News Brasil.
