Eleanor delivers on big assignments with a small headcount

Eleanor has been busy. Last year, the majority Black- and woman-owned production company—the only one of its kind in the U.S., with Sophie Gold, a past Ad Age 40 Under 40 honoree, at the helm—worked on major projects for automotive, financial and tech heavyweights, leading its annual profits to rise by at least 25%. For Apple Music, Eleanor crafted a sweeping orchestral film in support of its new Classical app, which allows users to search for pieces by composer, instrument and more. Featuring a real musical performance, the ad was directed by Rohan Blair-Mangat, who borrowed from his training as a classical violinist to envision it. Working with DDB Chicago, the production company helped develop the U.S. Army Reserve’s “It’s Your Time” campaign last year, tapping director Kacper Larski to lead a series of fast-paced, documentary-style ads that feature real soldiers and equipment. Eleanor’s roster also includes directors Kelsey Taylor, Dawit N.M., Benjamin Sonntag, Daniel Lundh, Zornitsa Dimitrova and Edson Oda.
