Coffee mate to run first Super Bowl commercial

Coffee mate will run its first Super Bowl commercial in 2025, as the Nestlé-owned non-dairy coffee creamer looks to drive awareness for its new cold foams. The spot will come from Wieden+Kennedy New York. GroupM handled the media buy, though Coffee mate did not say how long the ad will be, or what quarter it will air in during the Feb. 9 game on Fox. The foams, which come in a whipped-cream style canister, will hit stores in January, a month before the Big Game in New Orleans. “With 1 in 5 coffee drinkers craving whipped topping on their beverages, and cold coffee on the rise, we couldn’t think of a better way to introduce our most experimental product yet,” said Daniel Jhung, President of Nestlé USA’s beverage division. Wieden+Kennedy New York was also behind Coffee mate’s latest campaign, “The Ultimate Coffee Lover,” which focused on several kinds of coffee-obsessed consumers—the person who travels for the perfect cup, the guy who drinks iced coffee at the height of winter, people who see coffee as a “little treat” and even a Coffee mate-stealing yeti. The brand has been leaning into new creamer flavors lately, including Kit Kat and bagel with cream cheese. Coffee mate joins Doritos, Häagen-Dazs, Skechers, Dove and Rocket Companies as marketers that have publically confirmed Big Game spots.
