Homes.com returns to the Super Bowl with two ads

The Super Bowl is shaping up to be another big investment for Homes.com, the CoStar Group-owned real estate brand that made its Big Game debut last year. Homes.com is planning to air two 30-second spots during the game next month, a spokeswoman confirmed. The ads will again star multiple celebrities, she said. The first spot will run in the first quarter and the second will air in the third. The home buying brand aired one 60-second spot and two supporting 30-second ads in the 2024 Super Bowl that starred comedic actors Dan Levy and Heidi Gardner. Homes.com’s sister brand Apartments.com also ran a 30-second spot where actor Jeff Goldblum reprised his role as Brad Bellflower. In total, CoStar spent an estimated $35 million on its 2024 Super Bowl push. RPA will again handle creative and media duties for Homes.com’s Super Bowl work. The Santa Monica, California-based shop has been Apartments.com’s agency since the brand was acquired by CoStar more than 10 years ago. Apartments.com will not have a Super Bowl spot this year. The new spots arrive as residential real estate prices are skyrocketing. Citing data from Oxford Economics, CNN reported late last year that a household needs to earn $107,700 to afford a new single-family home and property taxes and insurance, a sharp rise from the $56,800 needed in 2019. Only 36% of U.S. households made enough to afford such homes in the third quarter of last year, CNN noted. In October, Washington-based CoStar reported an 11% rise in third-quarter revenue, to $693 million.
