If you ever wanted a Super Bowl ad with the Old Spice guy and Chester Cheetah, you’re in luck.
Instacart’s first-ever Big Game ad is full of iconic consumer packaged goods mascots who are shown running through a city to make it to an Instacart customer’s front door.
The ad opens with Cheetos’ Chester Cheetah and Mountain Dew’s Puppy Monkey Baby. A hoard of Heinz wiener dogs charge across a field (reminiscent of a 2016 Heinz Super Bowl ad), one of them being ridden by the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Mr. Clean runs alongside the Jolly Green Giant. The Kool-Aid man bursts through a wall and Energizer bunnies fall from the sky. They join the Old Spice guy (played by Isaiah Mustafah) who is on a porch, rather than a horse, this time.
Trick Daddy’s “Take it to Da House” plays throughout. The spot ends with a cow on a motorcycle delivering milk, one of the only brand-agnostic characters in the ad.
