U.K. supermarket Asda has been having fun with the idea of why you should never compromise on quality or price, in a campaign by agency AMV BBDO.

It includes this new spot for Mother's Day (March 22 in the U.K.) in which a woman debates between having her mom live in a seniors' home (Mom's preferred scenario, which sees her running off with a handsome young lover) and her own ideal situation having Mom close by (and acting like Julie Andrews from "The Sound of Music," giving the kids singing lessons). Ultimately, the woman compromises and has her mom living in a caravan on the driveway, watching the daughter's every move.

Directed by Alex Boutell, it's one of Asda's more memorable spots in recent years, and the idea of humorous "compromises" provides plenty of scope for future executions.
