Ni Putes Ni Soumises : Booze Brown

Bruises as art.

French advocacy organization, Ni Putes Ni Soumises (Neither Whores Nor Submissives) launched this harrowing print campaign via BETC Paris, in conjuction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which falls on Nov. 25. Instead of focusing on pictures of women bruised and battered, the ads focus on the bruises themselves, giving them an arty treatment and positioning them with captions that read as if they are museum explainers. In fact, they're actually the reason for bruises -- rape, alcohol, or in the case of "Grave Green," the result of the violence, which is in some cases, death. Via Creative Review.
