For Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28, WWF France is installing an "energy dance floor" opposite the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and will encourage people to light it up with their feet.
The charity, together with Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and other French politicians, will switch off the normal lights of the iconic monument at 8:30 p.m. and persuade the crowd to switch it on again. A DJ will encourage them to dance as hard as they can.
WWF worked with Dutch company Energy Floors, whose kinetic floor tile technology converts energy into power and whose other stunts have included lighting up Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer statue in green last year.
