Freshpet is no joke in ad with Steve Schirripa and other wiseguys

Show Freshpet some respect, or you may get whacked. That’s the message of a new spot from agency Terri & Sandy and Hungry Man director Dan Opsal, starring Steve Schirripa of “The Sopranos” and other actors from mafia movies and shows. In the spot, even the dog gets nervous when an associate of Schirripa’s throws some shade on Freshpet after finding a bag of it in the fridge. The guy soon finds himself bagged as well. The :60 launches online this week. It follows another recent celeb spot from the brand, starring Megan Trainor. “Freshpet is a dream client, and this was a dream project because it let us take our campaign to trunk-slamming extremes,” said Todd Condie, creative director at Terri & Sandy. “As a dog lover and verified ‘back-room boss,’ Steve Schirripa was literally perfect for the part.
