To celebrate National Food Day, the Humane Society of the U.S. tapped Aardman Animations to create this moving tale of an amibitious little piglet named Ginger, who seeks a better world away from the industrial farm on which she was born. The film is aimed at children and was directed by Sarah Cox. It illustrates the inhumane conditions of industrial farms' dark, tight breeding pens where pigs spend their entire lives virtually immobile.
The film follows in the footsteps of Chipotle's "Back to the Start," the celebrated animated film promoting sustainable farming, created out of CAA Marketing and directed by Johnny Kelly.
