Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the Hollywood pair equally known in Britain as the owners and chairmen of Welsh football team Wrexham AFC, are getting into the U.K.’s Christmas spirit by lending their voices to a campaign for M&S Food.

In the retailer’s new spot, they play a pair of winter mittens lost in the snow who are retrieved by the Fairy character (voiced by Dawn French) introduced in last year’s holiday campaign. Soon, they dry off and end up having the best Christmas ever.

The spot was created by The Mill and directed by Dom & Nic.

Along with the new spot, M&S Food also announced a new partnership with AFC Wrexham that will involved national and community-led activations that support children and families in the local area. M&S is also opening a new food store in Wrexham on Dec. 1, employing over 120 people in the area.

M&S has deals with the national teams of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but this is its first club football partnership.

“Our partnership with M&S Food is important to Rob and I, due to its established history with Wrexham and its commitment to supporting the local community,” said Reynolds. “The connection we have to the club and its supporters is something we’re deeply proud of. It’s essential we partner with a brand who understands the broader goals for the community as a whole and is committed to making positive changes.”

“This year’s Christmas advertising campaign is possibly my favorite to date,” said Sharry Cramond, M&S Food’s director of marketing and hospitality. “Not only does it build on the unrivaled success of last year, it also introduces a sprinkle of Hollywood glamour with the addition of both Rob and Ryan.”
