Two Sides of the Story Will Run at Opposite Ends of Ad Breaks

There's more than just a cute story to this campaign from vacation rental brand HomeAway, breaking this week in the U.S., U.K., France and Germany. It's the story of a little girl who has to leave her dog behind when she goes on the family vacation, and misses him so much she can't enjoy it, despite the antics of a goofy brother.

Eventually the faithful doggie turns up, having made his own way there. In another ad, you can also watch the dog's side of the story -- arguably more entertaining, as it involves stolen sausages, chasing chickens and stowing away.

The two ads were designed to run at opposite ends of ad breaks (there are also 30 second versions); they communicate the message that with HomeAway, the whole family can rent a whole house on vacation. Saatchi & Saatchi London created the campaign, which was directed by Stink's Martin Krejci. And in case you're wondering where it was filmed, it was a HomeAway property in South Africa.
