Coca-cola Brazil is gearing up for the World Cup this summer by encouraging people from all over the world to befriend a Brazilian on Facebook, via its collectible Coke Minibottles. Coke Facebook fans around the world will be encouraged to collect one of the 20 Minibottles, then download an augmented reality app, which allows them to create special personalized avatars and messages. They can add these to a picture of their bottle using their smartphone camera and upload it to Facebook. Teens in Brazil can respond and start a Facebook friendship with people whose avatars they like. The campaign was devised by JWT Brazil.
