Women's political organization Ignite has created a handwriting workbook for young girls that lets them practice their letters by writing out inspirational quotes from female leaders.
Pereira and O'Dell worked on the Writing Our Rights campaign, which aims for girls to copy out the words of women including Hillary Clinton, Condoleeza Rice, Nancy Pelosi and Susan B. Anthony, the idea being to help them believe they can be powerful as well as working on their handwriting skills. The pages can also be turned into posters, and there's a page at the end for girls to write about their own amibitions.
"We believe that the introduction to leadership at a young age is as fundamental as learning to write," said Anne Moses, founder and president of Ignite in a statement. "We hope that these words from 10 of the most iconic female public figures in American history will teach girls that they are powerful and capable of becoming political leaders too."
You can download a printed version of the book by donating $50 or more to Ignite, or download a free PDF from the website.
