Among today’s creative highlights, we have yet more Super Bowl ads; Carl’s Jr.’s return to sexually suggestive advertising; the Kansas City Chiefs’ content campaign with three Petes looking for a three-peat; and TruGreen’s spots with PGA Tour golfers.
10 creative campaigns to know about today
Cirkul (Super Bowl spot)
The water bottle brand’s Super Bowl spot stars Adam Devine who inadvertently orders 100,000 of the brand’s flavored pouch packs through his phone. The in-house campaign will include Cirkul actually making 100,000 deliveries to consumers during the game on Feb. 9. Adrianne Pasquarelli has more on the campaign.
DoorDash (Super Bowl spot)
Comedian Nate Bargatze stars in DoorDash’s Super Bowl spot plugging DashPass subscriptions with a new spin on “girl math,” where he saves enough money on deliveries to spend lavishly elsewhere. Wieden+Kennedy Portland created the work. Read more here from Erika Wheless.
Google (Super Bowl spot)
A man uses Gemini Live AI assistant on his Google Pixel phone to prepare for a job interview in Google’s Super Bowl spot, which turns out to be a sprawling, emotional meditation on the nature of fatherhood. Below is a two-minute version; it will air as a :60 in the game. The spot was made in-house at Google Creative Lab and directed by Henry-Alex Rubin. Garett Sloan has more on the campaign.
Ram Trucks (Super Bowl spot)
Glen Powell stars in a seriously souped-up version of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” which Ram will air on the Super Bowl. The GSD&M spot features the 2500 Rebel heavy duty truck, RamCharger 1500 gas-electric and sporty Ram RHO. It also has dragons, volcanos, chainsaws and bears. Read more about the work here from E.J. Schultz.
NFL (Super Bowl teaser)
Pat McAfee continues to show his excitement as a 1980s high school principal in a second NFL teaser by 72andSunny, released Wednesday.
Carl’s Jr.
The fast-food chain is returning to its smutty ads of yore with a campaign starring influencer Alix Earle, who introduces the Hangover Burger by doing her best Paris Hilton impression. The Hangover Burger will be free the day after the Super Bowl (with app download and rewards signup) so you can pair it with your case of the Mondays. The spot was made by Schiller Creative Corp. and directed by Michael J. Murphy of FiveTwelve Pictures.
Kansas City Chiefs
BarkleyOKRP created an amusing content series for the Chiefs, who are seeking their third straight Super Bowl championship. They can’t legally use the phrase “three-peat” (it’s trademarked by Pat Riley), so the series features two “Petes”—Pete Holmes and Holly Robinson-Peete—seeking a third, so the three Petes (get it?) can watch the game together and help the team fulfill its “destiny.” The first episode is below. Also check out episodes 2 and 3. Parker Seaman of production company Lord Danger directed the films.
Qatar Airways
Gillian Follett has the story of the airline’s new AI-generated flight attendant/brand ambassador, Sama, a travel influencer who is part of the carrier’s strategy to reach new consumers with engaging content rather than stiff corporate messaging.

Science Moms
The nonpartisan group of climate scientists (who are also moms) will air this spot regionally during the Super Bowl, sounding the alarm about the climate challenges a child born today will face in the future.
TruGreen
The lawncare provider’s new campaign from VML suggests you’ll get a golf course quality lawn by using the service. The amusing spots show PGA Tour players Jason Day, Ben Griffin and Patton Kizzire, who are drawn to a suburban family’s impeccable grass. See another spot from the series here.
