Halloween is over, but plenty of holiday feasts and their inevitable leftovers are still ahead. Ikea’s latest spot bemoans those dishes left in the back of the fridge a little too long, with creepy, adorable ghosts of mealtimes past.

From old carrots and funky drumsticks pop restless spirits that roam around the kitchen, set to the tinkling of holiday music for a macabre, “Nightmare Before Christmas”-style vibe. But Ikea is ready to banish the ghosts, with mesh bags and sealable containers to keep food fresher longer.

The cute antics are made possible by puppets from the Scandinavian Puppets workshop, with creative from Virtue. The Perlorian Brothers directed, and the spot is currently running in Northern Europe. Recent work from Ikea Russia also pushes back against food waste, with a torrent of giant leftovers falling from the sky.
