The NBA puts on a classic kids' holiday play to promote Christmas Day games

Ad featuring basketball legends and superfan 'NonStop' is a take on 'The Night Before Christmas'

The NBA's 2022 holiday spot remakes a classic children's play, but with some basketball twists.

The spot, released in anticipation of the annual NBA on Christmas Day five game slate, features NBA superfan Non-Stop, who was first introduced in the league’s tip-off campaign. He makes his return to preview Christmas Day matchups this year and is joined by a cast of NBA legends, musicians, influencers and young fans for a take on "The Night Before Christmas."

Non-Stop takes the audience from game-to-game beginning with Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies and along the way the action features the likes of Julius Erving and Ray Allen, as well as actress and influencer Brittney Elena and rapper Action Bronson.

The spot was created by Translation and directed by Traktor via Stink Films. It premiered during the NBA Finals rematch between the Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors game on Dec. 10 for the opening night of the ABC primetime slate and is also streaming on the NBA App and across @NBA social and digital platforms.
