Animated Ad Is at Center of Rebrand for Indian Juice Drink

This ad for Indian fruit drink Frooti combines stop motion animation with Bollywood, and a giant mango to make an ad that's certainly memorable for the category. In the spot, from Special Guest in collaboration with design firm Sagmeister & Walsh, a crowd of miniature people find a gigantic mango and try unsuccessfully to turn it into a drink.
Finally a miniature version of Bollywood star and longtime Frooti spokesman Shah Rukh Khan arrives on the scene; he encourages everyone to sing, and the mango is transformed into a giant Frooti bottle. The ad ends with the real-life Khan enjoying the product. 1stAveMachine director Marc Reisbig and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios were responsible for the animation.
The spot kicks off a rebrand of Frooti that will also include experiential, out of home, logo development, new packaging, a new website, and print and social media.
