Zidane coolly explains the rules of midfield in Adidas Football World Cup film
Spot by Iris ran ahead of the France-Belgium semi-final

In contrast to Adidas' main World Cup TV spot, a noisy, celebrity-studded affair by 72andSunny Amsterdam that kicked off the tournament, the ongoing content campaign by Adidas Football has been a stylish, more focused affair.
Different films by agency Iris have been released throughout the World Cup month, including a spot in which soccer legends David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane discussed talent, hair and medals and another that told the story of Brazil's Gabriel Jesus and honored him with a giant mural.
The latest film broke last night just ahead of France's semi-final against Belgium and features Zidane, again, explaining the rules of playing in midfield and how it's the most dangerous and crucial area of the game, where dreams are made and broken. It's a simple film, with Zidane coolly speaking to the camera, but it's done in a somewhat mesmerizing way that could send shivers down your spine. Perhaps it worked --as France won the game.
