The latest ad for Verizon FIOS stars Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson on "Stranger Things," as a tech savvy kid who explains how fiber optic technology works to his neighbors.

Created by McCann New York and directed by Smuggler's Henry-Alex Rubin, the ad sees Matarazzo riding his bike outside a suburban house where his neighbor is unloading a new 4K TV. He's amazed to hear they don't have FIOS and stops to explain how much better devices and screens would work with a fiber optic connection.

The spot has some nice touches (like the mom who, when asked if she'd like 20 kids to be able to use the Wifi in her house, replies in horror "I do not want that") and Matarazzo does a great job of talking about the tech in a totally natural, and quirkily endearing, way. It's the second time recently Verizon has used a TV actor from a hot show: in April it debuted a campaign starring "Silicon Valley" actor Thomas Middleditch.

The ad broke during the Emmys and the campaign also includes radio, OOH, digital, social and direct mail.
