Calling all agency copywriting interns: here's a chance to see your script idea actually get made.
Brazilian production company Lemonade (which also has a Miami office) is launching a high-end film division, Lemonade Films, and to promote it, it's running a contest for agency interns called "The Intern Glory." The prize: your script will become a film.
To emphasize just how unlikely this is to happen otherwise, Lemonade is marketing the contest with the film seen here, by Leo Burnett Tailor Made, in which a keen young intern sees his war film idea killed off by a jaded creative director who's both seen it all before and has legal concerns about drinking, gambling and shooting.
To enter the contest, you can visit the website and submit your script by Sept. 5. It must follow a real-life brief on the theme of Anxiety and Depression from Brazilian NGO CVV (Center for Valuing Life). Entries will be evaluated by a team of judges made up of professionals from Lemonade, Leo Burnett Tailor Made and CVV, and the result will be announced on Nov. 25.
“We know that every creative starting an advertising career dreams of having a film in his portfolio. We want to offer this opportunity, because for us no script is left behind," says Luana Duller, partner at Lemonade Films.
