Fox International is promoting its number one rated show The Walking Dead, by scaring the pants off one of the show's biggest stars Norman Reedus, who plays the character Daryl Dixon on the popular series. The broadcaster worked with agency Corner London and also tapped Mr. Reedus' fellow cast member Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Walking Dead Executive Producer/Makeup Effects Guru Greg Nicotero to transform one of the show's hardcore fans, Nick Santonastasso, into a gruesome walker, who pounces upon Mr. Reedus during a faux press event. Mr. Reedus, surprisingly, has a wimpier reaction than you'd expect from someone who bashes zombie heads in for a living.

The effort is part of Fox International's new #getfoxed campaign, for which the broadcaster is singling out superfans of its shows and immersing them in once-in-a-lifetime fan experiences. Mr. Santonastasso was born with only one arm and no legs due to a condition called Hanhart syndrome, but that hasn't stopped him from pulling some heart-stopping walker stunts of his own, as seen in his hilarious "Zombie Prank" Vines here and here. They're arguably funnier than the branded stunt, given that they take place outside of the "Walking Dead" landscape, where the players aren't already primed to seeing ghouls creeping from around every corner.
