It's common knowledge that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson can do just about everything. Apple drives home this point to the extreme in its latest celebrity ad promoting Siri in a nearly four-minute long film illustrating Johnson's ridiculously polymathic abilities.
Responding to a challenge from the media -- "It seems like Dwayne Johnson can't possibly take on more" -- he decides, all of a sudden, in the middle of his already jam-packed schedule, that he needs to accomplish everything on his bucket list -- like, today.
With the help of Siri, he flies a jet to Rome (so he can touch up the Sistine Chapel), stops over in Japan to check in on his fashion line (and join in the catwalk presentation), creates a culinary masterpiece to rival that of celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre, tears it up in a concert hall on a Chinese zither, makes a brief detour in outer space (to take a selfie) -- all of course, while he's in the middle of shooting his latest blockbuster.
Johnson is the latest big name to become a part of Apple's marketing efforts, which have included ads starring Drake, Taylor Swift, MIchael B. Jordan, Kobe Bryant, John Malkovich and more.
Bryan Buckley of Hungry Man directed the new film.
