Now in its fourth year, the "It's On Us" was spearheaded by President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden to combat campus sexual assault. More than 400,000 college students have taken a pledge to create a culture of consent.

To keep the conversation going, Mekanism has created a 30-second video that illustrates a conversation between friends about a drunken sexual encounter. While four of the friends joke about the offence, a fifth, more "enlightened" dude types messages that addresses the issue.

He writes thoughts like "hooking up with that girl was messed up," "that was sexual assault or whatever" and "you guys are part of the problem" but ultimately, he chickens out before sending them, only to deliver a nervous-smile emoji. The end of the video includes Biden (the author of the Violence Against Women Act, natch), who calls on listeners to confront acquaintances who engage in sexual activities with someone who doesn't or can't consent.
