Ken Jeong revisits his physician days in comic Fabletics Scrubs ads

If you’ve ever doubted whether it’s possible to live multiple lives and have multiple careers, look no further than actor, comedian and physician Ken Jeong. Before becoming an actor, he diagnosed patients in an office, a feat many might think unbelievable. That past life is what makes him such a fitting talent for Fabletics’ new humorous campaign for Fabletics Scrubs, which features Jeong paying homage to his former life as a primary care physician. Launched Tuesday (Aug. 13), “Scrub Up” includes multiple spots created in-house that feature Jeong discussing why he loves Fabletics Scrubs, including comfort, quality and, hilariously, the money he’s being paid to talk about them. Each spot weaves Jeong’s personality with his professional opinion as a physician, underscoring the notion that he can and does have multiple careers. The commercials offer up an authentic character for the line, which launched in early 2023. The purpose of the campaign is to “drive further awareness” of the product offering, said Carly Gomez, senior VP of brand marketing at Fabletics. “Partnering with Ken Jeong for Fabletics Scrubs is a dream collaboration,” she said. “His hilarious personality, combined with his authenticity as a former physician, made for the perfect vehicle to spotlight our activewear scrubs.” The commercials will run across streaming platforms and TV.
