This Instagram filter tells you whose turn is it to do the dishes
Campaign from Brazil's Leroy Merlin is promoted as a 'light-hearted way' to split the chores
Editor's Pick
If you're going bonkers over the sheer number of household chores during lockdown, one company has come up with a way to make the division of labor more, er, fun.
Brazilian home improvement retailer Leroy Merlin thinks it may have solved the battle of the spouses (good luck with that one, guys) with an Instagram filter. Created by FCB Brasil, the campaign suggests that you and the person you're arguing with about chores stand side by side and open the filter together. An arrow will appear over a spinning list of chores and, using facial recognition, select one of you to do the chore in question. The filter is available on the brand's Instagram account and will also be promoted via influencers.
“Household chores can cause conflicts at home, especially during this quarantine. Leroy Merlin takes a playful approach to breaking the impasse, with a friendly and fun solution to the problem,” explains Ariane de Oliveira Silva, content and social networks manager at Leroy Merlin.
Alternatively, the filter might just drive you even crazier. We'll leave you to decide.
