One interesting datapoint from the Compete.com video Web-traffic study that was released this week is the rise in traffic to AOL Video, Beet.TV reports. While YouTube pulls in 52 percent of video views, AOL increased its traffic 24 percent, more than its competitors. AOL Video chief Fred McIntyre attributes the success to his site?s network TV content and traffic pushed by AOL?s Truveo video search engine.
