Currys PC World has fun with some of the electronic goods it sells in this year's holiday campaign--by inserting them into a traditional Victorian setting.

The ad cheekily mingles the old and the new, and we see a resplendently dressed party host asking Google Home to play some music, carol singers using Microsoft Surface Pro tablets instead of hymn sheets, and a roasted chestnut seller using a sleek-looking AEG modern steam oven to heat up his wares. Meanwhile the men crowd into the local pub to watch a soccer game (played in 19th-century style) on a widescreen LG TV, and the wife of a Scrooge-type character sleeps through all the festivities using Bose noise-cancelling headphones.

Andreas Nilsson at Biscuit directed the spot for AMV BBDO.
