GeoSystems renames itself MapQuest

GeoSystems Global Corp., a provider of custom mapping services to individuals and businesses, changed its name to MapQuest.com, after its site that launched Feb. 5, 1996. The company, which was based in Mountville, Pa. is also moving to New York. MapQuest currently has more than 200 employees on staff, ranging from new-media developers to data specialists and consumer market specialists. The company is 30 years old and has its roots in the cartography industry.
